I paled.
Gasping, I took a step back, taking a sharp intake of breath, I stupidly blink, suddenly aware of my heart fighting to break free from its cage within my chest. Unconsciously, my fingers twitched and as I instinctive reach to cover my chest , one word seemed to be engrave in my mind: impossible.
I didn't understand, as if my brain short-circuited and needed to be rebooted. Around me, everything was in fast-forward while I was motionless in the middle of it all. How could this happen?
I was flabbergasted.
The red eyes that I had been longing for so long shone bright reflecting my own glowing ruby ones. In the midst of it all, I managed to utter the one coherent thought that my lips seemed to wonder.
"...You?"
He was staring at me, still as polished as ever. Not one burn mark on his sculpt- like face. As the moonlight kissed his milky white skin, his features seemed to stand out even more as if that was even possible. His beautiful red eyes held a confident spark, and his gorgeous lips were adorned by a mischievous smirk.
"Me..."
"I thought you were..." not able to finish my sentence, I left it hanging in the air.
"Dead?" He chuckled darkly, "Darling do you not know? Even death cannot hold me from getting what I want," he answered as nonchalantly as ever even as the opponent ahead charged our way.
He was back...

Last time, it was his wolf. Each time I resisted him, he hurt me, made me regret it. And now I knew he was going to compel me, force the answer he wanted out of me. I quickly shut my eyes tightly so he couldn't use his power against me. There was no point in running, I was already injured, already weak. A cold, dark laugh filled the room, sending a shiver down my spine. "My, my, look how afraid you are, my Sera," he mocked. I could feel him getting closer, his presence suffocating. Suddenly, he yanked my hair back, hard. I screamed in pain, but I refused to open my eyes. "Be my good girl and open your eyes, Seraphina," he commanded, his voice low and dangerous. "I was taken into a room that one would use to entertain guests in. It was a massive dining hall draped in red curtains and dazzling black marble floors. It was beautiful.
