Since Kurt transferred to Dalton Academy, Rachel's life has been miserable. She misses her friend, the only one who understood how she felt when bullies called her names or threw slushies in her face. Being at McKinley has become torturous, and Rachel can't take it anymore. She makes a decision that will change everything for her and for the rest of the New Directions: she is transferring to a different school. With Regionals right around the corner, what are the New Directions going to do without their star performer?
This is set mid-season 2, somewhere between &quot;A Very Glee Christmas&quot; and &quot;The Sue Sylvester Shuffle&quot;. I've changed a few details from the show (like the New Directions' competition at Regionals, for example) for plot's sake. This is probably going to be pretty long, so the chapters are going to be longer than in the other stories.

Going into high school seemed exciting at first, until it all came down to fitting in, where one Caroline Hudson thought if she joined cheerleading like her mom had in high school she'd be able to survive like her brother told her too. But when the cheerleading coach destroys her self esteem and the potential rest of her life, telling her she'll be going nowhere and be stuck working at breadsticks for the rest of her life. She then puts her emotion into what she really likes to do. Performing. Which when she sings her own rendition of the start of something new from high school musical, her entire high school experience changes course when she gets asked to be in the school glee club called the new directions.

Winnie rolled her eyes, already annoyed and it was only ten in the morning of her first day of school. She could hear JBI's voice down the hallway and she was sure he was coming her way, but she couldn't tell for sure if she was annoyed at him or at Tina, who walked beside her with Dottie, a freshman she had, somehow convinced to follow her around all day everyday. Now, Winnie had kept her promise. When Mike left, she had stuck by Tina. The two of them had helped each other, working together through missing the boy, but, as soon as the last week of summer rolled around, Tina started to change. She started to become self-obsessed and she suddenly turned into a bigger diva than Rachel Berry herself, always talking about the solos she wanted to have at glee or how much her voice had improved with the years. Winnie was about 90% sure all of this was just some weird copying mechanism Tina had created to deal with Mike's absence, but it drove Winnie insane. Still, she stuck by Tina anyway, more out of habit than anything else, but with Mike gone and Tina's new attitude, Winnie wasn't sure how much more of this she'd be willing to take. When the school is faced with even more budget cuts, Mr. Schuester pushes the kids to help recruit new members for the club. When Brittany and the gang try to convince Mr. Schuester to let them do a Britney Spears number, he is reciting to go to the edge, and Ashleigh finds herself in trouble. After learning of Emma's love of the film, Will has the glee club perform "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" for the school's annual musical. The Girls vs. Boys Tournament returns, and Ashleigh meets an ally from a rival glee club. When Ashleigh's hit over the head and stuffed in a locker for dead... will anyone find her in time? A local football championship game takes place, having the glee club girls stepping up and the "Thriller" mash-up performed during the halftime show. Ashleigh decides the only way to win regionals and beat the Warblers is to write and perform their own songs. Meanwhile, Quinn gives Ashleigh an idea for one of the songs. Principal Figgins asks the New Directions to person at prom. Things heated up as the competition for prom king and queen drew closer and Jesse St. James returned. New Directions continues to strategise their set list for nationals with a little help from Jesse St. James. An unexpected loss rocks the world of one of McKinley's own. Ashleigh gives Jesse a piece of advice that they weren't Vocal Adrenaline. New Directions heads to New York for the nationals to compete in the ultimate singing showdown. Blaine and Ashleigh work hard on the songs... will they be good enough to win them nationals?

Based on Season 3 of Glee... The glee kids are down in the dumps following their disappointing showing at nationals, so Will assigns them a project to get them back on track. A person from a rival group joins McKinley and joins New Directions. Shelby Corcoran returns to the halls of McKinley High, and Mr. Schuester worries what that could do to Ashleigh...? Emma gets a visit from her parents. Mike Chang's parents get involved when his grades aren't up to their standards. Ashleigh tells Rachel what she thinks of her. Mercedes starts recruiting for Shelby's new glee club, including Ashleigh, and Ashleigh refuses and decides to stay with New Directions. Ashleigh and Blaine reach a new, physical stage in their relationship, as do Rachel and Finn in theirs. Will and Shelby encourage some friendly competition between their clubs, but it ends in disaster when a fight breaks out between Santana and Ashleigh in the hallway. Ashleigh slapped Finn in the face. In an attempt to recruit a few more members, Ashleigh suggested bringing Sam back. New Directions and Troubletones go head-to-head at sectionals. The rivalry between New Directions and Blaine's old group, the Warblers, intensifies en route to regionals. When a member of New Directions is badly hurt, they are left to have surgery. In honour of Valentine's Day, Will challenges the New Directions to find and perform the world's greatest love songs. Blaine gets Joe, Mercedes, Sam, and Quinn to perform a song for Ashleigh. Things heat up as the New Directions go head-to-head with the Dalton Academy Warblers at regionals. Blaine's big brother and Hollywood actor, Cooper, comes to pay him a visit. Glee Club travels to Chicago to compete in nationals against the best show choirs, including Vocal Adrenaline.
