So in an effort to try and make things easier to himself he turns to his friend Joey for advice since he's currently in a relationship with Kaiba Seto. Unfortunately it doesn't turn out as good as Yugi thought. Tea, a girl who had once been his best and oldest friend had rejected and humiliated him, was back asking for Yugi's heart. In the storm of drama have Yugi realized that asking Joey for advice maybe wasn't the best decision he's ever made, and Yami realizes that there's still a small part of his past that hasn't come out in the light. Never could the two soul partners guess that such a small gap in memory could bring one of them so close to the door, leading to Heaven. It's been 2 years since the Ceremonial Duel between Yami/Atem and Yugi. Yugi still hasn't gotten over that Yami has left for the afterlife and hasn't done a whole lot since. When the story of Yugi's father becomes clearer, can he handle who he truly is or will he fall into a pit of despair and loneliness. After all what if Yami's departure wasn't a goodbye, but merely until next time I see you. YamiXYami/Atem eventually but not right away. I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh or it's characters. Just the plot. "S-Sir... This was in today's newspaper. How should we handle the media?" Roland wasn't given half a glance by Kaiba, although he did gain your attention when he held out the mentioned newspaper in your direction. You almost immediately regretted throwing a curious look at it at the sight of the headlines. The front page was titled "CEO's secret lover! Is Seto Kaiba finally getting married?!" and it showed two pictures and a lot of text - you didn't even bother reading it. What was already shocking enough were the two photos. One of them showed Kaiba and you entering his mansion, him having an arm wrapped around you while the other was taken when Kaiba had kissed you at Burgerpalooza last night. It did seem rather strange and out of character of Seto to invite you to a 'date', even go as far as to kiss you. But now it was all clear. Kaiba indeed wasn't one to do irrational things out of the blue, much less things that weren't convenient for either him, his younger brother or his company. He knew all along that the two of you were being watched by reporters. You wouldn't even be surprised if it was him who set it all up. "Kaiba! What the hell is the meaning of this?!" "Kaiba... Yugi, a young boy who was a servant for the royal family in Egypt, had stumbled upon the young prince with one of his teachers in the garden. Yugi was not allowed to befriend or speak with Atem unless asked or forced to. One day, Yugi was playing with some of the other servant kids until the young prince and his friend Mana were out in the field kicking some rocks. The young servant had not realized on how much he and the prince looked alike, the only 2 differences were that Yugi was way more paler and was not royal. Yugi had somehow gotten hurt, and this is where the relationship began. As his "friends" left him because they could not handle the crying, the caring prince and his friend rushed over to his aid. The servant just thought they'd help so none of their 'slaves' would be harmed and could continue working but that's not how Atem saw it. Later on things had happened to where the prince had ordered his father to keep Yugi in the palace, so the two grew up together until war began. For 3 years Atem had left.. Yugi hopes to see him soon someday.

Yami is finding it difficult being away from everyone and now has returned to being Atem. A few years has passed and Yami finally has a mirror into Yugi's world and is able to see what he is up to. Unfortunately it isn't going well with Yugi as he is not the happy teen he used to be. Yami has had enough of watching and begs the gods to let him return and they do, giving him the body he used to have. What will happen when Yugi meets up with Yami again and when Yami has seen what has happened to Yugi. I do not own Yugioh or it's characters, I only own the plot.
