This story covers the few years directly after the war as readers watch these characters experience different relationships, adventures, and challenges to overcome before they can follow the destinies written for them in cannon when "all was well".

The Battle of Hogwarts was hard on everyone, some more than others, unfortunately even though Lord Voldemort had been defeated, the war hadn't been won yet. The last of the remaining Death Eaters await trial and the final few funerals take place, but something seems off. After Voldemort had died it had seemed to quiet down too quickly, the war had ended too easily, and while most took the speedy victory as a blessing, Harry saw it as a sign for caution. But then again, he may just be being paranoid. If Only You Knew
Harry Potter runs into none other than Draco Malfoy, four years after the war. The two discover that maybe 'hate' wasn't the emotion they felt for each other all those years in school after all. They also recall memories of past encounters and explore their point of view. If only they knew how the other felt about them. When this story mentions past events, they could be book canon, film canon or headcanon, meaning that I mention past film events that weren't in the books, book events that weren't in the films or I've put my own spin on some events. If having a mix between them is something that could bother you, I wouldn't recommend this book. There are also emotional moments in the story that are a result of PTSD, nothing too bad.
