This is a poem I wrote about my struggles with spousal abuse and how I overcame it. I am now happily married for the past 16 years. The fear and doubt never fully leave but I am finally happy and safe.

Throughout the book I will be telling the story of events that happened from each characters point of view to hopefully give you some more insight on what each character is going through. The main part of this book is based off of my current relationship. Some of the events are made up and not fully true. I kept her, my parents learned to accept her while I was still pregnant, my mom even cried when we first heard her heart beat. When I turned 18, I thought my life was getting better, but I was wrong.
