Marinette suffered so much when her parents went to go to the baking convention then they lost their life in a terrible car accident. Marinette has to fake a smile everyday knowing she lost her parents and nobody knows. To add to the drama Lila tells lies saying marinette bullies her she loses all her friends but she is numb to the bone showing no emotion when they call her names and bully her.
