A Prince of Fire, a Princess of Ice, and a curse that threatens to end them both. When Isan reduced his uncle to ash in a fight for revenge, his life was changed forever. Now he possesses a magic he cannot control, in a kingdom where such is a death sentence. Isan fears for his life and the lives of those around him, as one bad argument could lead to another pile of ash at his feet. It doesn't help that the knight who might become the new regent is constantly pushing Isan's limits. Catastrophe finally forces Isan and Sky to seek out Echo's help. While in the Edgewood, the three learn that Icaria has plans to follow in her late father's footsteps, plans that could destroy everything. In a desperate attempt to save their kingdom, Isan and Sky will once again travel into Winter, risking life and limb for the truth; the truth that leads to a battle only one person can win. The curse entwined Isan and Icaria's fates, but they will determine who will live and who will die.
