After the Tartar's disastrous attempt to destroy Inkopolis Square and the remaining species on earth, Agent 8 finally arrives on the surface.
Unfortunately, suspicion levels are high among the Inklings so he has trouble being accepted by them and getting accustomed to their lifestyle.
Agent 3 takes interest in Agent 8 and decides to help him on his journey in getting used to his new life in Inkopolis Square. Along the way, Agent 8 slowly begins to have feelings for his new friend.
NOTE:
-Events take place after Octo Expansion and during Splatoon 2.
-Names are agent 8 and agent 3 for the first chapter
- The story begins to develop more plot in the middle.

However, it is clear to Nova that while Inkopolis as a whole was amazing in his eyes, it is clear that he's not particularly welcomed with the rest of the inklings. It's been nine months since escaping the Deepsea Metro, defeating tar-tar, and saving Inkoplois things seemed to have finally calmed down for the team. Agent 8 now free is now living his new life on the surface, working, going on missions, and his favorite thing getting to spend time with 3. 3 is enjoying spending time with 8, but after going on a research mission in the Deepsea Metro she notices 8 acting strange. She found him mumbling to himself, he's having nightmares, being more claggy to 3 than normal, and swears that she caught a flash of teal in his eye. It couldn't be that bad... till 8 goes missing. The team is on the case to find him but sometime into the search Inklings sharing some of 3's similarities are getting attacked and 3's apartment gets ransacked. It's clear 8 is after 3 and if he finds her, he's not letting her go.

She bumps into an inkling boy in Inkopolis, and notice that the boy is Agent 3! Agent 3 was hijacked back in the Deep Sea Metro when she was trying to escape. He has helped Agent 8 regain her memory but her innocence behind the bitterness is vague.Complete
