A Pirate's Tale [COMPLETED] by joymoment
39 parts Complete
Wattys shortlist 2021 "I'm already loving this story" - _singforjoy_ "You are going to get me what I want," Isla said, calmly. "Or I will kill you." The words hung in the air between them. Raif looked unconcerned. "Is that so?" he said. Born to the captain of a pirate ship, Isla has spent her whole life at sea. Raised among sailors, her father has trained her to fight, command a crew, and, most importantly, the secrets of the ocean currents. When her father is killed in a storm, she is forced to step into his role as captain. Not only does she have to provide for the men on her ship, but she also inherits her father's outstanding debt to Lord Sutherland: the task of stealing the rare Serpent's Eye emerald. After months of failure to locate the emerald, Isla is forced to take extreme measures: she kidnaps Duke Raif Sayers, who knows of the emerald's location. But Raif proves to be more strong willed and stubborn than Isla expected. Matters become even more complicated when Raif's father offers a large reward for his son's rescue and suddenly every cutthroat is looking for Raif and the pirate who kidnapped him. As Isla and her crew are pushed to their limits and race against their deadline, Isla has to face that the one decision she thought would save her crew could be the very thing that destroys them. The Sole Prince by cheddarandcheese
37 parts Complete Mature
[ Only the ocean can bring a prince and a pirate together, only the sea can keep their secrets, and only the waves can tear them apart. ] [ COMPLETED - 80K Words] [ LGBT Historical Romance ] [ FEATURED ] James Serrio is supposed to be a prince, not a prisoner rotting away in the bottom of a pirate ship. His future was royalty, not death in a grimy hunk of wood, but it seems that fate had a different plan. Just when things couldn't seem to get worse, another ship attacks, and James is starting his prisoner journey all over again. But these new pirates are different, to say the least, especially Sage Morrow, the captain, with his black coat, gold buttons, sharp jawline, and steel-blue eyes. There's something about the captain that reminds James of a fire on a cold day. And, there's something about the new prisoner that reminds Sage of home. But there are more important things for James to focus on than a man, like the fact he's somewhere on the vast ocean, in a ship full of hungry pirates, with nothing more than a necklace and a quick brain to call his own. The Sole Prince is the story of James Serrio and Sage Morrow, and their consequential fate after running into each other smack dab in the middle of nowhere. Fight For Me ✔ by Terah0602

You have no idea how much I need boring. Two years after the murder of her parents Caia is finally ready to start anew. New name, new town, new school. Desperately wanting normalcy and longing to put down roots again, she's determined to stay on the straight and narrow and avoid anything or anyone who poses a threat to her new life. And that includes steering clear of Liam 'Beast' Paine. The hot-tempered, adrenalin seeking mountain of muscles is precisely the kind of person she wants to avoid. Should be simple enough. And it would be if only she could keep a clear head when he kisses her. Run my little Bambi. The beast is on the hunt. Born with a will of steel and a silver spoon in his mouth Liam Paine is used to getting what he wants, so when he sets his sight on the shy and jumpy Caia he does what he always does: go after her with a single-minded determination and about as much finesse as a bull in a china shop. However, it soon becomes clear that the unassuming girl, who looks at him like a deer caught in headlights, has demons that need fighting. And if there's something Liam does well, it's fight. I'm ready to fight for you. But the past doesn't always stay where we want it and Caia's is always lurking just around the corner. Ready for the next round. **WARNING: This will contain mature scenes and language! There'll be sexual scenes, cursing, and droppings of the f-bomb. If you're uncomfortable with any of those things then don't read this story.** **Also this is not a fan fiction**

5 parts Complete

My second collection of short stories, but longer than the works in my Read my Shorts collection. This volume consists of anything more than 1000 words and includes new works, re-writes of a few older pieces and anything else I found on my computer that I'd forgotten to post before. It will contain steampunk, historical fiction, urban fantasy, science fiction, fantasy, slipstream, sci-fantasy, horror, paranormal, general oddity and anything else that happens to fall out of my ears as ideas formulate into stories. Enjoy. Comments and constructive feedback always welcomed.
