"You kill, or you get killed." He threw the gun at me, and I caught it. "I couldn't care less. Kill him. Now."
And me, the lovesick puppy, heard her orders, and I obeyed.
I looked the man in the eyes, his pleading eyes, and I looked at River, who had now lit a cigarette and had brushed the whole situation off, as if we were merely discussing our opinions on a sports game.
The lovesick puppy looked at her love, and then the lovesick puppy pulled the trigger.
The puppy smiled. River was happy.
