"Come on, Ash. Just because he's your brother doesn't mean you can't kick his ass!" yelled Hacker, the 18 year old guy that latched onto the 17 year old girl called Hex. She was a real joker, especially when she was drunk.
"Luke!" I hollered the second I walked in the door. On of the guys who had been sitting and talking jumped up and pulled gun on me, totally startled. Luke came running out of his room and slid down the rope.
"What's wrong?" he asked, taking hold of my hand and staring at my makeup that had been completely distorted.
I had just started drifting off to sleep, when there was a quiet knock on my door. "Go away! I am so not in the mood."
"It's Forge." His reply was soft.
"That doesn't change a thing."
"Ash, please," he cried.
"Why should I let you come in?" I called back, sitting up and looking at the door
"Because I didn't want to be alone."
"Oh yeah, something happened. His dad was drunk, threw Forge on the ground and started kicking him. Forge kinda froze and just took it. Lord knows that boy's strong enough to put his dad on the ground." Arrow's anger radiated off his body, filling the truck and taking place of the air; it was suffocating. "I swear I'm gonna kill that asshole." And again, Arrow sped up. I didn't mind though. I enjoyed the rush, and it reminded me of when I got to ride passenger in street races. Plus, I wanted to get to Forge as fast as possible.

Due to my infuriated state, I drove like a mad man and almost got into trouble with the authorities. Fortunately I solely got a slap on the wrist, perhaps the cop that had me pull over was having a great day. Instead of going home, I drove past my house, and headed straight to the bar. The intention was to drink my problems and the rage brewing inside of me away, but I actually fought and annihilated the demons that tempted me to drink alcohol again. I got home late, and peculiarly I wasn't famished but my wife had cooked so I felt compelled to eat. "Is your hands not working or something?" She asked, after I ate and left the plate on the sink. "You want me to work them on you?" I asked, headlessly. "No stupid. I want you to wash your plate after eating." She gritted her teeth, folding her cute hands into fists and if I wasn't so mad at her I would've found it stimulating. "I have a wife for a reason. She's able and willing." "Bullshit!" She sneered. "I'm assuming the plate is still dirty then?" "No." She lowered her voice. "So what is your fucking problem?" I asked, firmly. "My problem is you having shit to say to me yet choosing not to say it." she crossed her amrs, her gorgeous face painted with anticipation. That's when it dawned on me that my wife was gorgeous to me, no matter what state I was in. Literally and figuratively. "Fine." I took slow steps towards her. "I don't know if you've noticed but I don't have anybody. My dad is a dick with herpes, my best friend is a dick intoxicated idiot, and I cut my brother off. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat as he stared across the table at me. I could seriously drown in his eyes. He was intoxicatingly attractive and he had to know it.
