It took Ten Days for Rachelle to wake up when she so much as took a sip of Nati's "Water". That means that Nati has Ten days to win Daki's attention away from Avu. Snatch him from her enemy. 

...Also...

...they have to traverse the wastelands...

Lands so hot the desert sands turn to glass and almost no life can survive. Nati has to lead them to the nearest city. From the city, they can bring back help to the oasis. But they haven't touched the true "heat" and it's already too much.

It looks like they will have to take the long way. Hopefully nothing will go wrong. Nothing will distract from Nati's little side project.
