How a teen comes out . One day, one letter, one word at a time.
Destry Rua is not happy with her life even though she wants for nothing and has many great friends. However Ms. Rua has a tiny secret she is queer as the day is long. Destry's attracted to anybody that she feels a long trustworthy connection with physical or emotional, although living in a small town in Texas makes being true to herself difficult. Des feels like part of herself is shut down and ignored. Writing helps ease the pain. Putting your emotions on paper is a powerful thing. One night while surfing the internet she comes across a written letter challenge. The lost art of writing letters may actually help this lost teen find her way and help her accept that she is not alone and she is wonderful.
