This story is a side follow-up to my main book on Amazon Kindle called H.E.R.O chapter 1. The story takes place in an alternate Earth we're heroes and villains fight each other for supremacy. However after an incident in 2016 which led to the devastation of heroes across the planet the remaining ones were hunted down and killed by the criminals that had formed leagues to take them all out. In the ensuing destruction of the hero organization and the collapse of their main power base and structure the heroes were forced to flee and seek protection amongst communities that would accept them while the criminals had gotten free reign with unchecked power across Nations. However not all heroes are ready to give up the fight as the story follows two heroes traveling across the nation that have stopped in the area of Seattle to make a living for themselves and to decide whether to give it all up and seek a normal life. However little do they know that their boss has a plan to help the heroes out with their fight which will have untold consequences for the world at large.

However, if time can prove anything, it is that sometimes what we need most is not what we could ever have imagined. This story takes place in Gotham City, and therefore within the universe of DC (Detective Comics), making it technically a fan-fiction. Regardless, all the characters and storylines are my own work, except for a few Easter eggs which are aimed for DC fans. I strongly believe the world of superhero fiction could use some diversity and that is exactly what I hope to gift you all with this novel! Furthermore, I have absolutely no professional experience as a paramedic or EMT, so I did as much research as I could to try and have a realistic portrayal of this career, but of course it is not perfect. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. And if you can name all the references in this book, you truly are a gift to mankind. Fangirl out.
