For many, many years, the legend of Sir Knight Artorias, one of the four most loyal and powerful knights of Lord Gwyn, the Lord of Cinder, said that when his Lord sent him to the corrupted city of Oolacile, he gained victory in slaying the Primeval Human Manus, the Father of the Abyss. Along with this, he, with his best friend and companion, wolf Sif, also freed Oolacile's Princess Dusk, whom had been abducted by the monster. From their victory, the evil spread of the Abyss was stopped. After this, Artorias and Sif returned home, victorious.
However, not all legends are true. Some are told to protect future generations from fear. Others are used to help invoke inspiration into the minds who hear. And this one...well, this one is of loss and sorrow. This is the true story of what became of Knight Artorias, and what he, as well as Sif, were forced to go through.
