A Guide to Being Super
Every city has its claim to fame and for the city of Cytropolis it's their superheroes. But unlike the cities of Gotham and Central City, this isn't a good thing. Cytropolis is known far and wide as the city with the clumsiest and least influential superheroes ever. But it never mattered that much since the super villains were just as bad. That is, until recently when the villains decided to smarten up and open a super villain academy to train the newest generation (something that never occurred to the heroes). Luckily for them, Matt Miller has arrived. He may seem like an average, normal (even bordering on boring) seventeen-year-old boy, but when are things ever what they seem? He may be apathetic and bitter but he has super powers and he's kind of, well, powerful. He's the heroes only hope against the newest villain in town, Sinister Shadow, and he has no choice but to lend a hand (but he refuses to wear tights while he does it, he draws the line at tights). That's exactly what they did. Their abuelita moved them from Mexico to Miami that same night, and that's where they stayed. Hiding in the shadows, not drawing attention to themselves. It was easy until it was found out that Alejandro had given his kids Compound V so that, one day, they just might have the power to do the things he wasn't capable of, and get the answers he couldn't. Several years later, when Lexi and Los had just graduated from high school, they were visited by a man who called himself Richard Brinkerhoff. He invited them to Godolkin University, and gave them a chance to become heroes. It's September and I need a roommate. I couldn't live in the dorms anymore. I was fed up of being paired with idiots. I was done sharing my kitchen and my bathroom with an entire floor. When I signed the lease for my apartment, I did it with the guy I was seeing at the time. Turned out he was as unreliable as he was loud in bed. Which was very. You know when you see someone for the first time and you think that those clothes they're wearing really are appalling and that they should immediately remove them, any type of clothing really, well that's the first thing that crosses my mind when I first meet Holt.
