I move my hands up his chest, cupping his face with my fingers in his hair as I bring his lips to mine. He feels slightly hesitant, perhaps because of what I saw him do, as well as what I didn't see.
"I see you. I'm not afraid, Nik. I'm not afraid."
He smiles at me and I completely melt. Within a second, he picks me up, hands on my butt as I jump, wrapping myself around him. He struts out of the bathroom and puts me down on the bed and my question of how the silk sheets would feel under me is answered.
