Adelaide Barker, a junior in high school, has just returned from a semester abroad. She comes back just in time for her favorite part of the year, baseball season. Her brother Tristan, a senior, plays at the best and most enjoyable league in her hometown of Soft Spring, Texas. After incorrectly budgeting for some cookies during the lunch period, the boy behind her buys her cookies and starts talking to her. Little did she know that the boy in front of her would change the rest of her year, summer, and life. With the boys at the ballpark just now noticing her good looks, low-key southern charm, and intelligence, Ad is in for a treat and a baseball season she will never forget. All starting with the darn cookies.
