dan howell struggles with depression and schizophrenia. at school, he's quiet, shy, and reserved. at home, he's the opposite.
when a family crisis pulls dan into the void of arguments, fights, and the thought of suicide, dan meets phil lester- a boy who helps dan through everything dan's going through.
and then dan realizes phil isn't real.
