When Susan is forced to go onto a trip to visit her grandmother in Italy, she hopes that she can avoid her a much as possible. But the more she avoids her grandmother and the rest of her family the more tension grows between them. Once Susan is alone with her grandmother, she give's Susan a Locket that has been passed down the generations, but the necklace itself is not all there is to the gift. Susan discovers that there may be a deeper secret to the locket, and realizes that no one in her family has any knowledge of it. Susan tries to keep the secret to herself while traveling around Italy, surrounded by beauty, facing danger, finding true love, and trying to discover the deep secret that has been in her family for years.
