La vida está llena de esos pequeños momentos que se convierten en anécdotas que algún tiempo después merecen y son dignas de ser contadas. Este es un recuento de aventuras extraordinarias, que parecen sacadas de la ficción, pero que pasan todos los días a personas, que como tu y como yo, viven sus días sin tener la menor idea de que cualquier circunstancia, por pequeña que parezca, puede convertirse en algo memorable.

24 new emails looked back at you from the screen. You could feel the headache setting in, but you opened your email anyway, looking through the new messages. Two from your statistics professor, about a new assignment, another one from the RA in the dorm building, one from the admissions office, about your application to the study abroad program, one from your American history professor- Hold the phone. You rapidly clicked on the email from the admissions office, scanning through the paragraphs. Reviewing your application to the program... taking into account your grades and your major... looking at schools in the area... pleased to say we can accept you into the program. Accepted. Part of you had forgotten that you had applied in the first place; it had been months ago back at the end of last semester, and then you had gone home for the summer and put it behind you. But being back at school had brought it to the forefront of your mind again. This was great. You had needed some good news today. Turning up the music, you danced out of your desk chair and jumped around the room a little, excited. You were going to Mexico for a semester. You could already picture it now - warm weather, good food, and firsthand experience speaking Spanish for at least six months, maybe more. What is this? Actually I can't still define it accurately, I guess it's a diary, a story, a moral... probably all of them together. Life is a learning process which never stops and this is a piece of mine I'd like to share. Falling in love it's a beautiful motion and awesome when you really find that person, but it doesn't feel so pleasant when you find it thousands of miles away. Here you will see how it all started, how I managed this situation and how I tried to solve this huge trouble in which I got enrolled. The plot, feelings, time, messages... besides names, nothing is invented even the slightest detail is worked thoroughly because I just depict in words what I lived the way I lived it so you can get into my skin. The night when everything got f*cked up.
The party was quite nice. The school year had just started. But there was too much alcohol, too many problems, and a unfortunate accident that would kill 5 kids, leaving many in grief. Cheating happened, death happened, rape happened, and brought people closer to each other than they've ever been. People mourn every time they see the sunset, people can't bring themselves to get into an Uber. At the end of the day they're just young, and some will stay young forever. My Life
This would be really boring. You don't need to waste time reading this. Not just boring, it might be even heartbreaking. The story was still going on, and therefore I had no idea whether it would end in a tragedy or not, but I had a feeling it would. And it did. We broke up under the striking, burning sun of 19th September, 2016. I write usually in a monotone description, therefore don't judge if you read this. My name is Rue, and I wish my life could be like the picture I put as a cover of my story, colourful, calm, and with a soulmate who keeps loving me all the way. However, things never happen as what we would like them to happen. I don't love my life, but I want to remember all that once happened. I want to look back one day, when I'm fully grown, and smile or tell my old self right now that I'm dumb. She didn't dare accept anyone who offered to help her because mom had said she should trust just her auntie and anyone else. She didn't know if bad men would try to snatch her again and her only desire was to find a safe place she could live her pacific life, the way she did when her mom was alive.
