In high-school stereotypes, Greta would be labeled a "Goth." Every day she gets up and puts pounds of dark make-up and baggy clothes on, in an attempt to mask herself. She sees herself as horribly ugly, worthless, and an embarassment to her family. When Jason Adams, the star quaterback and popular guy, starts helping Greta's little brother, Austin, with football he can't help but wonder why she is the way she is. He tries to help her overcome her insecurites and learn her story.
