Raven Branwen didn't. She grew up in house where love was scarce. Parent's fighting to the point of divorce, Qrow becoming an alchoholic by their sophomore year, friends turning out to just be using her as a shield. Raven didn't hate love. Oh, no. No, she LOATHED it. Despised it with every fiber of her being. That is, until the new girl transferred into Raven's class, and made her heart flutter faster than a hummingbird's wings.
