Margot (Athena) Clarke didn't have too much going for her. She was graduating at her high school a year early and headed to berkley. Majoring in English lit and minoring in Human Psych. Academically blessed her parents would call it. Margot hates her name so she usually goes by Athena. Other than that not much. Her parents were rich and there was a line of royals somewhere on her dads side. Which made her a British princess many, many times removed. Like if every single one of her relatives died and then their relatives died too, then she'd see a throne. Her mom was Greek, hence the middle name. To avoid her crude family and their obsession with money and power she spent most of her time with her friends. Sam, who she'd known from birth basically and had attended the same prestigious private school with. His parents and hers were in the same social class so it was deemed "acceptable" to hang out with him. He was utterly adorkable. Her human diary and best friend, Avery, who she met at a locally owned coffee shop and befriended almost just in spite of her parents. Avery didn't come from money and that disgusted Athena's parents but she loved Avery all the more for it. Typical bestie stereotype. Then, Dylan, super tan, super gorgeous. A rugby star and built like a god. Met through Sam and has known and been utterly in love with since 6th grade when he stuck up for her through her bangs phase. An amazing friend but torture to be around when you want so much more. As boring as her life was, Athena loved her little corner of the world and her friends and was never very interested in meeting new people or travelling. Until one day, she woke up to find, that maybe she didn't have a choice, and maybe there was more to her family's lineage then she thought.

Meet Alizah, the ultimate parent-pleaser extraordinaire! She's like the CEO of "Operation Make-Parents-Happy," always two steps ahead of what her parents need. If love was measured in mango pickles, Alizah would have made enough to last the whole neighborhood for years-because nothing makes her happier than knowing her parents are proud (and well-fed). She's not just obedient; she's the gold-standard role model for "I'll do anything for my parents," with a side of humor and a smile that says,"Challenge accepted!" Life was all smooth until one day-BAM! Her parents dropped the biggest bombshell: "We found the perfect boy for you!" Before she could say, 'Not Ready' she was already knee-deep in wedding prep, forced into a marriage she never signed up for. The boy? A soft-spoken, polite guy named Vivaan, who looks like the human version of a greeting card-nice, but completely unnecessary (in her opinion). Now, Alizah isn't one to rebel; she's the kind of girl who'd say "thank you" after getting scolded. But being obedient has *limits*-and they were crossed somewhere between picking bridal lehengas and smiling for selfies at pre-wedding shoots. In her mind, she plotted "Mission Sabotage" Unfortunately, nothing worked, because Alizah parents could win *Gold* in emotional blackmail. "Beta, we just want to see you happy," they'd say with teary eyes, making her surrender faster than a cricketer caught in an LBW. And so, Alizah steps into her new life, half in disbelief, half in acceptance-like a girl boarding the wrong train but thinking, "Well, at least the view outside might be nice in this fake world" "Some journeys begin without a destination."Whether this one leads to chaos or contentment, only time will tell. Prepare for laugh-out-loud moments, heart-tugging twists, and the sweetest mess of feelings!
