Bianca Jacobs, a junior in high school, finds herself entangled in an unlikely romance and finally faces many of the troubles she's been avoiding for years head on. Ben Walsh, a well renown football player despite being the new kid at the school, has his own demons to face as well, despite his tough exterior. Traversing high school is tough, but it's even tougher when your past is haunting you. Warnings: strong language, light violence, mentions of mental illness

He's out from dawn to dusk, if not on the court, then scrounging up money for food or finding somewhere to sleep other than his car. What divides them most... is hope. Rio has it. Violet doesn't.
