Emily Kempler, a 14 year old girl who has to deal with unimaginable things. Monsters. Not the kind that you see in movies, terrifying bloodcurdling creatures that follow her. The problem is, she is the only one who can see them. They lurk wherever darkness is, and if she goes near them, they attack, unleashing their venomous tentacles and wrapping them around her so tightly that she can hardly breath. No one believes her, they think she's insane. Now that her mother has sent her to an all girls boarding school, there is no escape. She is terrified for her life, and her family's. She has no other choice but to run. Far, far away. How will she ever escape? No one knows. But I do cuz I'm writing this story hehe. Read if you'd like and this sounds interesting. I have a very vivid imshination, so, it'll probably be good. thanks! ~Misty :3

Insomnia

"It's been four years since I slept, and I suspect it is killing me." Instead of sleeping, Parker Chipp spends each night trapped in the dream of the last person he's made eye contact with. Every night he is crushed by other people's fear and pain, by their disturbing secrets--and Parker can never have dreams of his own. The severe exhaustion from his brain never truly sleeping is crippling him. If nothing changes, Parker could soon be facing the real life nightmares of psychosis and even death. Then he meets Mia. Her dreams, calm and beautifully uncomplicated, allow him blissful rest that is utterly addictive. There is no denying how badly Parker needs it. When he starts going to bizarre lengths to catch Mia's eye every day, everyone at school thinks he's gone over the edge, even his best friend. And when Mia is threatened by a true stalker, everyone thinks it's Parker. Suffering blackouts, Parker begins to wonder if he is turning into someone dangerous. What if the monster stalking Mia is him after all?
