In late October of 3001, scientists in a laboratory in a disclosed location, in the country of Delphi, developed a serum that could genetically modify humans giving them enhanced speed, agility, strength, and brainpower. They named it Z4. Scientists found a way to modify the serum so that it isolated the effects to men. The serum was a success, and sales skyrocketed just a few days after its release. What the developers didn't realize, was the human's body incapacity to handle the serum. The mental and physical over-exhaustion triggered mental decay that started out slowly but increased rapidly over a few weeks of usage. The brains are left with only the most basic survival reflexes, transforming the user into strong, fast, agile, emotionless human shells that devour any living thing that crosses their path. Bites from the affected placed the rouge serum into the bodies of the bitten, giving them similar symptoms. It's been about seven weeks since the serum has taken effect.
