People from this world who don't have powers are looked down upon and are called Mundane. Elementalists go through school to train their elements and, of course, learn. 
Then there was Brenda Von Enid. She was born from a Mundane family. She eventually realises that she is an elementalist. 
Also, there is this mysterious guy that nobody really knows about except his name, Nathaniel De Thanatos, and that he is an elementalist.
