Everyone lives in a fantasy world of cats and humans or also known as neko's and humans. Neko's can't hide their ears and tails but they can turn into cats. Humans are important because humans can become the masters of neko's. They have to make a contract with a kiss on the lips. Soon after a symbol that the master chooses will appear somewhere on his or her body.
