It is 2018, Bucky and the reader met online after buck "returns" from war, or so she believes. He was a sergeant in the army but, that was 70 years ago and he meets her with a terrible secret, he was a dark alter ego whom the world knows as an assassin and she has yet to meet. The reader, on the other hand, is a psychologist, she works with the mentality of her patients. When they meet, dark secrets unfold, will their relationship still prosper or was it destined to fail from the first exchange of texts?

James Buchanan Barnes had been through a lot in his life: Fighting in wars, brainwashed and forced to kill for decades, fighting to remember who he was... The hardest part of it all?
