Almeta is abused by both of her parents, her mother verbally abuses her and helps her father perform sexual acts on her. After years of constant abuse Almeta runs away and meets a wonderful waitress named Callie who invites her to live with her. As things slowly spiral in Almetas life she realizes more and more that the closer she becomes with people the sicker they become either physically or mentally.
