The Eighth Years are back.
Harry and Ron have become Aurors, but Hermione is back to finish her education.
So is Malfoy.
The two are assigned as Head students, meant to guide the younger students. Together.
It's shocking, to say the least.
But what is the most shocking, perhaps, is the fact that they seem to get along just fine.

Hi, I'm aware that this idea is far from original, but it's been my favorite kind of story to write and it's my first Harry Potter fanfiction in three years. I hope you enjoy!

It is one year after Voldemort is defeated. Headmistress Mcgonagall invites students with unfinished educations to return if they would like. They will be known as Eighth Years. Hermione, of course, easily agrees and is actually excited. Ron and Harry would rather not go, but, of course, Mrs. Weasley is making them. All summer, Ron has been moody and distant. But lately, he's been rude and almost cruel towards Harry and Hermione. And when they arrive at Hogwarts, Ron starts acting possessive and abusive. Hermione was going to tell someone, but as much as she hated to admit it, she's clueless. She's hurting physically and emotionally. And worst of all, she's scared. Simply Annoying//// Dramione
The war is over, Hermione and Ron are happily together, going back to Hogwarts for their 7th year with their best friends, Harry, Ginny, Neville and Luna. Unfortunately so is Draco Malfoy. According to Hermione, "he's always... just there," as people don't accept him back. Feeling bad for him, just in the middle of his isolation, Hermione becomes friends with him. As Hermione finds herself with Draco most of the time, Ron has time to himself. Feeling lonely Ron makes a huge mistake. Things Change
Hermione and Draco are forced into close proximity when they are made Head Prefects that share a common room. Hermione wants nothing more than to finish school without any hiccups, but the presence of an ex-death eater is proving to complicate things. *Actively undergoing a rewrite to get rid of POVs. Draco Malfoy and Emma Dawlish attend Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Emma is almost always a straight A student and she is forced to work with Draco Malfoy to get his grades up. They become friends and their own friends try to keep them from each other, which fails. "Draco, Don't" is Emma's key saying. It represents good and bad. After the war, the teens have to go back to school for another year. When Draco runs away from his home, he wants to stay in the shadows at school. Emma already knew part of the real Malfoy, can she unlock the rest of it? What happens when she starts to fall for A Malfoy? *********** "I'm not the good guy."
