Every story has its beginning, and this one's starts before time.

Nel and Joe were created in the First Wave - the first few thousands of Angels made to protect Earth from anything that could harm Her.

Of course, Nel and Joe didn't know this. They were created as children - small and fragile, in need of guidance and nurturing. They were handed to the eldest of the Angels - who were crafted from light before the birth of Earth in a form that would later be defined as 'Human'.

They were sent down to Earth by a group of Angels called 'The Council'. They were to protect all life from Darkness.

This is the point where time starts to tick.

And with that said - our story begins to unravel.
