DARIAN is used to living in his sister's shadow. Because Freida left home to learn healing magic, Darian is left to take care of everything and everybody, including his younger sister, Lara. However, when he receives an opportunity to follow in his sister's footsteps, he too must abandon his duties in favor of an education. Darian had always wanted more for himself, and he may only have one chance to change his life forever.
FREIDA, recently expelled from Restorative Magic, learns she can still manage to stay at the school due to an unforeseen and dangerous, but immensely powerful gift. However, this means joining the people she had grown to hate. Faced with brutal military training and a cutthroat fight for victory, she must learn to make friends in the most unlikely places, and watch for enemies at every turn.
LARA was always plagued with nightmares. With both of her siblings gone, she must learn to fend for herself. Things take a turn for the worse when she is overcome by a vision of the death and destruction of her brother and sister. She sets out on a journey to warn them of impending doom. Though she knows that there is a danger lurking about their school, she has no idea as to the danger lurking inside herself.
