MARIAM THELMAN That's my name, but I hardly hear people call me that, it was either Mimi, kawana or Uniform. I am a shadow uniform prefect in my school, my term results always come out good, if I'm to fail a subject, I'll get a C there. All my problems are being solved with money at home But... That's the first side of my coin, the other side I also got to know, and when I knew... SIMEON SAMUEL He was called the new kid, that arrogant one that thinks he's better than everyone, but at the same time secretly admired. He's so oblivious to the fact people listen and admire him when he talked, and sincerely speaking, most people are now thinking of giving the position of head boy to him... But then, the new people always have what they are hiding, don't they? KUCHELI OMARI She's the best friend to Mariam, has always been supportive of her ever since junior class but as the years go by, she's trying so hard to control her jealousy, Miriam's house, Miriam's bank account, Mariam's everything looks so much better than her and it looks like her bestie likes her, no she won't agree... But it's killing her inside and she can't just say what she knows will shatter her and Miriam's world... MALIK OMARI Aside from the fact that he was Simeon's best friend, and they met in a very odd place... prison. He was also Kucheli's cousin but then he left the school for a year and came back the same year Simeon entered... Was his coming back a coincidence? Why didn't he tell Mariam the truth about him going to prison? What else is he hiding? Why does he support his cousin silently, even when he knows she's hurting their friend and it's breaking their friendship? What will happen when everyone finds out that something is linked together? And the worse thing? Life has just started because they are in secondary school... Two Sides Of Their Coin... You're staring again," he murmured without looking up. "I'm not," I said, even though we both knew I was. He turned his head slightly, those blue eyes flicking toward me - calm, calculating, and just a little amused. "Then stop memorizing my face." "Maybe I'm just trying to figure you out." "Good luck," he said quietly. "I haven't even figured myself out yet." Naomi didn't mean to notice him - the quiet boy who spoke like every word cost him something, whose hands looked like they'd learned to hold both violence and tenderness in the same breath. But Samuel Kings had a gravity to him, the kind that pulled you in before you even realized you were falling. His twin, Samantha, was the opposite - sharp, poised, and frighteningly still. She didn't speak unless necessary, and when she did, it was like a scalpel - clean, precise, and leaving a mark. "Emotions are a weakness," she told Naomi once . "Then why do you look sad every time he smiles?" Naomi asked. Samantha's gaze lingered for a moment too long before she turned away. "Because I know how it ends." The Kings twins arrived like a storm no one saw coming. They were beautiful, strange, and impossible to ignore. And for Naomi - the scholarship girl just trying to survive another session - they changed everything. One moment she was laughing with her best friend under the sun, and the next she was standing in the rain, realizing her heart had started keeping time with his. You make everything complicated," she whispered. "You make everything matter," he replied. But beneath the quiet smiles and the charged glances, there were secrets - The kings weren't running from trouble; trouble followed them like a shadow. "You can't save me, Naomi." "Then I'll stay with you until you save yourself." "You shouldn't." "I already did." Because some people don't just change your story; they rewrite it entirely. He was ink, she was light. Together they left star shaped like constellations
