35 days. A siege nearly ten years in the making. 300 French defenders attempt to hold off nearly 10,000 English assailants from the vital port town of Harfluer. As casualties from disease mount on both sides, the French can only pray for relief. Relief that will never come. Based on true events. The town of Harfluer courageously held out against England's greatest warrior king, Henry V, for over a month. This is their story. There is an extended sequence that can inspire claustrophobia (Day 5). Could be triggering to those with a fear of drowning (Day 5). Profanity throughout out. Rape is discussed (primarily preventing it, nothing shown). Brief minor sexuality, characters kiss briefly, and are shown in bed together, nothing more. Alcohol use throughoutComplete

You commit treachery -- you fall in love with him, even when you don't speak the same language. - There is a lot of German in the fic, and I do NOT expect you to understand any of it. That's the point, the reader canonically cannot understand German. You aren't expected to translate everything (but you can if you want to, I might have slipped in a few jokes.) Tactically translated German (Aka Maxis translating) is in bolded sentences.Complete
