What if you were in a band with six other people? Big band, huh? What if you were doing a huge competition for your school in that band? A rock competition that you'd dreamed of being in for years. What if you wrote the song for the competition and all your band loved it? What if you were so happy and excited the night of the performance?

Tarlee Sparks is a quiet girl who is too scared to ever open her mouth. Until one day she does and gets into the school rock band for the Battle of The Bands competition as a singer. She gets thrown in the band with people she didn't know (a nightmare of hers). She gets thrown in a band with a boy she has always been terrified of, Cooper Harrison who seems to take an unusual interest in her.
On the night of the performance, someone is murdered and the investigation into the murder suddenly descend on the band members. Tarlee begins to wonder about some of her band members.
