The Lure of Adventure

*This is a super slow-burn romance fanfic. It features a straight Original Character pairing with Sam Drake. The timeline of this story will be split in two, with the first half covering Sam and Nathan's time at the orphanage before catching up with the plot of A Thief's End in the second part. Some details in the game have been changed to better fit the timeline of my story.*

If we're going to be honest, I'll admit, I never... Ever expected this.

I loved Sam then, and I love him now... Albeit it's a more matured love than a simple crush. We'd lost contact when he turned eighteen and left the Catholic orphanage we called home.

For months we fell in and out of love with one another until one day he and his brother Nathan disappeared completely. No one really knew what happened to them... Some suspected foul play, others suspected they were runaways laying low, but this time unlike in the past, the authorities never brought them back.

Weeks went on and no word, and soon enough the names Sam and Nathan Morgan became mythical among those who remained at Saint Francis Home.

Inspired by the characters and stories from the video game Uncharted 4: A Thief's End by Naughty Dog. All characters and references belong to them except for my main character.

It's set before, during, and after the events of the 4th and final game.
