The leader of the group, Froststar, is searching for her lost sisters. In the midst of her turmoils, a cat almost identical to her comes into her picture. This cat seems to be searching for power, but she might have a secret within her claws.
Meanwhile, in the Tribe of Rushing Water, Ice That Freezes The River is grieving. Her mother is missing, and a cat who looks just like her was found dead outside the Tribe's cave home. Ice refuses to believe that her mother is dead, but behind the grief and loss lies a conspiracy and a deadly treason.

When Ashstar, LightClan's leader receives a prophecy speaking of a cat who will have the power to talk to any animal, she's at a loss for words. A litter of kits is born that very night, Wolfkit and Frostkit. Ashstar realizes Wolfkit is the prophesied cat and doesn't know how to react. As Wolfkit struggles with her ability, Frostkit has trouble with OutClan, seeing she has been gifted with supreme hunting and fighting skills. Both the she-cats go through hardships and battle having the temptation of mates as young apprentices, one far worse than the other. But that is not their only problem, there is evil lurking inside their very Clan and they are the only ones who can stop it. Like? Share? Comment? As the tension grows between the two clans, Sunstorm and Skyleap must help protect the clan they love from the latest threat yet, and discover Foxstar's killer before the mysterious cat strikes again.
