Lou St. Claire has had an obsession with hacking ever since her father bought her a laptop for her birthday when she turned thirteen years old. Ever since then, she has mastered everything about the laptop, from learning each component carefully, to something much bigger: hacking. Her mother warned her that she was playing with fire, and she was right. She hacked into the wrong database, causing the bad men to come after her. They took everything from her, and murdered her family. She was left to fend for herself, just at fifteen years old. And so she lived on the streets, until the leader of a gang found her, and took her in. Fast forward eight years, a new face joins the gang. Aaron's arrogant, sarcastic and too cocky for his own good. Lou doesn't trust the new face one bit, not after what happened to her family eight years ago, but then she finds out that her own gang kept secrets from her, and decided to confide in the newcomer, and trusts him. What a mistake that was, because he was keeping the biggest secret of them all. Her intuition about the newcomer was right; that he couldn't be trusted.
