All Feyla Everbloom wants is to leave her past behind and marry her fiancé, Sedgewick Alverdyne, a mage and the Minister of Magic. But when a wizard out for revenge threatens the city, Feyla's past reaches out and forces her back into the Healer's Guild. Under the direction of her disapproving mother, Feyla and her old team of battle healers race against Sedgewick and his Magic Ministry to bring the wizard to justice. Torn between longing for her mother's approval and her own heart, Feyla will have to choose whose side she is truly on. Black magic is afoot and a spell long thought buried has re-emerged. As lies are told and truth is revealed, her relationship starts to crumble. Feyla must act quickly because unbeknownst to everyone, time is running out. And nothing festers worse than magic. Note: This book takes place after my first novel, Magic's Minister. While the books are best read in order, Magic's Memories can be read as a stand-alone. The Visrel sisters have been reunited, but their lives will never be the same. Seraiah is wracked with guilt for the lives she thinks she could have saved. She is determined to learn more about her abilities and hone her talents so it won't happen again. However, she soon learns that the stronger her visions grow--the weaker her mind becomes. Sterling is now a queen without a kingdom, and she finds herself battling an entirely different beast. She is certain the only one who can explain what is happening to her is Ren, her necromancer friend, but he seems to have disappeared along with the other mages. The sisters' inner demons have come out to play and will put their bond to the test. They will learn there is a fine line between good and evil, and the world isn't quite as black and white as they once thought. ==================================================================== This is Book 2 in The Lost Queen series. It can't be read as a standalone. Please read Book 1: The Lost Queen before proceeding.
