The story is set in year 2144. Technology has surpassed human greed and ambition. We have developed cures for incurable diseases. We mastered cloning. We had successfully colonised Mars. But we also created a Gateway to our own extinction. Humans created weapons ten times destructive than todays nuclear weapons. They created something their hearts could not fathom. The world is left with only half a billion population after a gruesome war. The world is currently in radioactive cool down. The Earth is left handicapped with worst climatic patterns, dried up oceans and infertile lands. Earth is basically a ball of cold radioactive waste. The world is being repopulated by developing babies in lab and cloning other humans. Many humans alive are actually the clones of the dead ones. The world is ruled by one government, controlled by a group people who call themselves the Masters. As there are no parents of the babies created so the masters own them. They educate them and use them for their purpose. None of them are born free. They act like slaves for the masters. The story is about a survivor who is a former slave of the masters and is on the run. He is not a lab baby nor a clone but an individual who survived.

And, if it works, a small percentage of the time, the subjects are let loose, given a certain freedom they had never experienced. And that's what I had now. Freedom. After around ten years of making sure my neural system was intact, the metal surrounding me grew with my body and the batteries didn't poison my immune system, I was given the option of getting out of CARESS, also known as Centre of Adolescents in Rehab after the Effect of Scientific Surgery, and live a normal life. Well, as normal as it could get for a teenage girl with giant metal wings stuck behind her back. ~~~~~~~~ "You remind me of Maleficent... But with blue wings... And definitely more badass." "Who?" 100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. Now then. You're probably wondering what this place is? To answer that, we must go to the past. 4.5 billion years in the future from our current time, Earth's sun began to expand from burning up all its fuel. Humanity, having managed to get their act together and advance space travel, avoided their extinction and evacuated the planet, feeling their solar system out unto the stars. Many years passed by in stasis and in future generations. Eventually, humanity found themselves a new home. But alas, nothing worth having is easy to keep. Extradimensional entities known as Developers, named as such due to them being the closest biological thing you could get to a genuine god, appeared in humanity's new home. With their metaphysical, reality warping abilities, they changed the world over. Combining the new planet with 3 others in such a manner that multiple dimensions and timeliness were rolled into one like a bunch of star bursts that were pressed and twisted together before being shaped into a ball. Thus, it resulted in the reality bending world named Asteria! Strap in ladies and gentlemen, this is gonna get crazy. (Author's note: There are many references to other, more familiar games, movies, books, and others. This includes character names and back stories, weapons, character abilities, and even in universe power system mechanics that resemble or are inspired by other media. Every single one of these references, allusions, and inspired aspects reserve any and all rights to the original owners. The only things that I own here are the general lore of the world.) (I will also say this is a narrative story adapted from a TTRPG campaign that I am currently running with a system I made. Players may come and go as they please, which will result in characters disappearing from the rest of the story. BOOK 2 After chaos destroyed, America fell into pandemonium and there was no communication with the U.S. After a pandemic crisis on the East coast, most civilization was abandoned near the Atlantic Ocean. After that, the world slowly began to fall to pieces and almost every country made a scramble to figure a way to make space travel easier so they could colonize a planet. But a new leader came out of the ashes and proclaimed they would consider the apocalypse a "rebirth" and proceeded (with his advanced engineering) to clear radioactivity from America and make it livable again. With the help of his crew, he builds a high security city and begins to build out past the east coast. Shortly after he rebuilds NY, he disappears and his advisor rises to power. He is a fair but cruel master (calling himself a Lord) and some people refuse to work for him. These people manage to escape the oppression of the Lord and live out on the wasteland that was once a great country. Some band together to make right communities and others rough it out by themselves, scavenging for a living.Complete
The Hawaiian Special Forces
This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!Complete
