They were about as dysfunctional as a family could get. Jason, their teenage son, is a heroin addict, her husband Ryan is a workaholic, and young Piper wants more. So, when Kim sees what she thinks will be the perfect opportunity to change everything and bring her family together she convinces the reluctant Ryan to take it. That's when they move to a sleepy little town outside of San Antonio. But that's when life really gets interesting: high-speed car chases, run-ins with criminals and the law, football, a shoot-out, life and death situations, mysterious legends and gold. What did Kim get them into? And she thought life was rough in Los Angeles.
