I'm so deep in thought I don't hear my phone ringing until the call almost ends, "Hello?" I ask with a questioning tone.
"I've been trying to reach you for the past 20 minutes, what are you doing?" My husband said angrily and impatient.

"I'll be home late," He said angrily.
"Right, okay Ill put your food up then, " I said with tears brimming my eyes.

I stop at the last room, stare at the number on the door and crosscheck it with the one with me. I stuffed the paper away and ready myself for what lies behind the closed door.
