How would you feel, if you could only see mouths moving? When someone laughs, to you, they're smiling emptily. When someone talks, you struggle to read their lips.
That is just how life is for Goosekit. Born deaf, he is still desires to become a warrior, despite the rest of his Clan doubting him.
Along with the challenges he must face that come from being deaf, he must face the ordinary challenges of a warrior - all the while wondering what StarClan has in store for him, and why they would let him live without the gift of hearing.

PLEASE READ: this is a really really old book and now I write much better quality stories. I'm actually working on one! So please, I ask, do not read this book. I wrote it when I just couldn't write, but there is no way I'm gonna erase it or un publish it, don't ask why just go with da flow. A dead silence. Cats stared at each other as if the world had disappeared. The trees even seemed to pray silently as the dark warrior approached, three cats hanging limply from his jaws. The rustle of leaves, the scent of prey were the only indication that they were still alive in the forest. But the dark warrior stared at all the cats without flinching. Starclan itself would be powerless against this enemy of might. It laughed as he released the cats from his jaws, it smiled as it saw the frightened look on the cat's faces, it walked to the leader proudly, it's pawsteps shacking the forest. Talking is one of the most important things in clan life. You express your feelings with it, share stories, communicate with friends, and a million other things. Imagine if talking, one of the easiest and thoughtless abilities to do, was impaired? Snufflepaw is an apprentice in Rainclan, and she has a debilitating stutter. It makes it even worse as she's one of the leader's kits, adding more pressure on her. For talking, words physically can't come out. So many things she wants to say are just stuck inside her head, not able to come out. Her words sound bumpy, she repeats things, but she literally can't help it. And it doesn't help with how the entire clan treats her because of it. They restrict her voice, backhanded positivity, impatience, mockery, and see her as embarrassing. The discrimination and teasing she has to endure everyday is a lot. And after something goes wrong during her apprentice ceremony, suspicions start to rise. And it only gets worse after a tragic accident, one she just happened to be involved in. The mental drain and emotion toll it takes on her is heavy. But will she be able to beat her clanmates views of her and be her better self, or will her own home turn into a living nightmare?
