Michael Thor is your witty, snarky, lucky-to-go nerd that is also poor. He's never experienced the high tide in life, other than living next to a rich kid when he was small. But, smarts are spilling out his ears and nose, so what can he expect when he lands himself into the exclusive, prestigious, white-stone and gold-knobs high school White Valley Prep. However, things are different there. Rich kids pitted against rich kids, open relationships, paparazzi publicity, and a hierarchy. Who will he come in contact with at his time at White Valley Prep? The pawns, lowest of the low. The rooks, elite common class. Jacks, snobbishly powerful pieces, or perhaps even the King, the most influential, exceptional of them all, who goes by the name: Thomas Reyes.
Thomas doesn't have a Queen yet. And he doesn't expect to have a Queen anytime soon. Because the only Queen he'll want is a certain little lamb, that abandoned him long ago but whom he still can't forget.
Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd)
Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
