Following the events of last book, everyone is back in the Protego Base. Quinci Laciasal, the heir of Team Valor, and Shelly Yangtze, the heir of Team Mystic, had both had their powers removed from them because an mysterious villain called The Guy had captured the legendary birds Moltres and Articuno, severing their connection from the heirs. But since Zapdos willingly gave himself over to The Guy, Raichu Human's, the feared leader of Team Instinct, lightningbending still remains. The group of friends figure out what The Guy is up to next: to capture all the legendaries in the entire world. 

At first, he seemed unstoppable with his super powerful group of pokemon under his total control, but the friends soon realize that a mysterious plant called the blooberry could reverse the effects of the GMO razzberries, the source of all The Guy's power. They soon realize that The Guy, whose real name had been revealed to be Ash Ketchup, was also after the blooberry so he could capture the legendary Mew. Will the heirs find the cure before Ash does? Or will Ash finally gain the power to complete the last step of his treacherous plan?

In a last-ditch effort to make sure that someone will save the world, Mew convinces Arceus chooses Light Kiseki to be the Chosen One that will stop Lysandre's crazy plan when Light was just born, before going into hiding with the other Legendary and Mythical Pokemon. However he didn't anticipate that years later, Light, a recent Lumiose Academy graduate and avid reader who was born with the ability to understand Pokemon, doesn't want anything to do with Pokemon, more so ever since his father's disappearance and Dark bullying him for years. But he is forced to go on a journey when his friends bring him along for said journey. With a Froakie, a Pokemon his father originally was going to give him, the two of them make new friends and foes on their way to being the best of the best. What will happen on his journey? Will Light finally find out what happened to his father? Why does Lysandre and Malva takes an interest to Serena, Dark, Light and their Pokemon team? Ash now heads back to Kanto from a year of solitude training and with a tournament coming up who know who might show up. As far as I love pokémon I did not watch most of the episodes or know their teams very well. Please do not get upset if I mess up on something. I will also be leaving Team Rocket out as they drove me insane with their model. Thank you. The two men and the Raichu are attempting to retrieve the Gieldanstone before Team Rocket gets it and uses it for their ultimate plan to finally control all Pokemon and rule the world. Whereas the character Blue (also known as Gary in the anime) is more of a frenemy than a rival. The main rivals would be Team Rocket Grunts - Cassidy and Butch as well as their Boss, Giovanni. Q - Is this story based on Pokemon Red or FireRed? A - The story has a few iconic moments from the games/manga but those events do not play a big part in the main story arc. Q - Is Ash Ketchum in it? A - The story takes place in its own universe. I try to bring some events from the games, the manga, and the anime. You get to see a different version of Ash Ketchum (close to how he has been depicted in the anime) in 2 chapters of this book. Q - Is Team Rocket the same as in the anime? A - While Cassidy and Butch are characters from the anime, they have a different overall character arc than in the anime. Team Rocket is darker than in any previous versions and has a purpose and a plan other than stealing. Giovanni's plan plays out slowly in the course of three books. Q - It has time travel? A - It does, time travel is hinted at in the first book with the actual "time traveling" in the second book. Q - "I hope the protagonist has a father, hahaha" A - Yes, he does. The character mostly appears in flashbacks but is an important character.
