Not all people are born special, fortunately, Tony was. On the stock show circuit, he reigns supreme and has the winning belt buckles to prove it. There’s no sow he can’t show and no boar he can’t train. He ain’t afraid of nothing. Unfortunately, after a prank against the Midway High School Mongoose cheerleaders goes awry, he is forced to join the team as punishment and learns, first hand, just how unimpressed by him they really are. After all, knowing all of the body parts of a pig will not win them that coveted nationals sweater at the Ultimate Cheerleading Finals of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Not to mention, Tony discovers something more powerful than basket-tosses and those insults he throws around with the rest of his bully friends – a cheer family that comes together in the midst of self-discovery through tragedy.
By trying to juggle stock show season and the ruthless ploys and politics of cheerleading nationals, life has become complicated for Tony. However, he must keep his composure because he is now in a position to pull off the most ambitious prank ever done to the cheerleaders. Of course, there is a problem: every time he is around the irresistibly wild popular girl “boobs-in-a-tube” Kaily, his heart can’t stop flip-flopping and every time he is around the captain of the team, the militant and fanatical Jessica, and her openly gay, but equally terrifying, boyfriend? He wishes his heart would stop beating all together.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
