Within the placid, yet stunning state of Oregon, eighteen year old Maya Altergott resides to a rather introverted life with her books and tennis racket. She doesn't have many friends, but her bubbly attitude accompanied by her unique talents and hobbies keep her engrossed in life. The one thing Maya deeply longs for is to be accepted for who she truly is, and to have someone by her side.
That is until a unique, blue masked man with a mysterious visage quite literally leaps into her life.
Little does Maya know, she's being thrusted into way more terrifying situations that she could've ever imagined before.

When Jack wakes up one day deep within the forest, in pain and doused in blood, he embarks on a journey to find somewhere to stay - and this somewhere ends up being the infamous mansion.
Jack inherited the curse of a wendigo that occurs every century. On a full moon, and on the eighteenth birthday of one who has inherited the curse, the turning and ritual takes place. The inhabitant undergoes a ritual for the Chernevog, and is sacrificed. They ravage everything and anything in their path, consumed entirely by intense hunger for flesh and organs. After the sacrifice is established, the wendigo is immortal.
Jack also inherited the dormant heart. Every wendigo has a dormant heart, which can only be activated by coming into contact with their destined mate. A mate they will be bound to for all eternity.
