The Pain of Abuse

Abuse. Sexual, verbal, physical and emotional abuse has a way of scarring those who fall victim to it like nothing else like it. But then again, is there anything else like it? Living in an abusive situation doesn't just affect a person in the here and now but in the future as well. Almost a year after escaping my abusive situation I can clearly see the damage that it has done to me. I'm not writing this novel for attention or to get someone punished for their crimes, deserving or not. I am hoping to use it as a coping strategy and maybe it will even help you or someone you love in the process.
